New events on the way!

Keeps your eyes and ears open for the upcoming:

Walks, Talks, & Workshops

Past event walks have taken place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings with locations along the Marin Headlands, in the redwood mountains of Santa Cruz, and the coast of the Presidio National Park in San Francisco.

These walks will have been focused on the identification of native plants that have been used in natural medicine, as well as the ecology, social and natural history of the sites.

Kirby Cove, located in the Marin Headlands, a 2 mile hike with a 420ft elevation change from the road down to the shore, through different plant communities ending at the sand.

Henry Cowell, located in the Santa Cruz mountains, a 3+ mile hike with dirt trails and elevation changes (starting at Graham Hill Road and following trails to the Observation Deck) looking out over the ranges of redwood groves and views out to the sea.

Batteries & Bluffs (Coastal Trail), located in the Presido, a 1.5 mile hike with staircases up and down the trail, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin, Marshall’s and Baker Beaches.

Walks are weather permitting. Emails will be sent to those who have signed up for an event, with information on locations for meeting. Feel free to respond if carpools are desired or open questions would like to be discussed.
